R.I.S.E. Coalition Area of Focus:

WATER & ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY

R.I.S.E. Coalition at Big LaSalle for a press conference about the LaSalle Valley Aquifer Breach

How We Engage:

We listen and speak at tribal, local, state, and federal meetings and hearings on behalf of the water and environment- on behalf of our elders and the generations to come. We assist with our Indigenous knowledge to bring about better understanding cross-culturally.
Partnership with Waadookawaad Amikwag, a citizen science and Tribal Ecological Knowledge keepers working group that meets weekly, to bring the truth to the public through real data collection via infrared drone and water and soil sample collection. Correspondence and date are sent to Tribal, State and federal agencies to report findings. We are currently working to better inform tribes of findings. We are doing our best to inform the public.
